Eric O’Neill

Eric O'Neill is a Full Professor of Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Oxford, Department of Oncology. He is a dedicated researcher at the forefront of biomedical science, with a profound commitment to translating cutting-edge research into tangible benefits for patients. Currently, he leads a dynamic basic science and translation research lab where he spearheads efforts to uncover medically relevant biomarkers and treatments using advanced techniques such as biochemistry, imaging, and genomic analysis. His work extends to pre-clinical models, including the direct monitoring of patient tissues ex vivo. Eric identified the Hippo signalling pathway in humans (published in Science) and has many collaborators with industry partners and clinicians. He has spun out multiple companies including EpiCombi.AI and AENOX Pathology.
