Joanna Mikulak

Dr. J. Mikulak Ph.D., has been working at Humanitas since 2010, and currently holds the position of Senior Research Scientist at the Clinical and Experimental Immunology Unit. Her main areas of expertise include human innate immunity, immuno-oncology, and virology. She earned her Ph.D. in Biotechnology at the Unit of Human Immunology, DIBIT, Scientific Institute of San Raffaele in Milan, where she received extensive training in cellular and molecular immunology. Currently, she coordinates multiple scientific projects investigating innate and adaptive immune responses in solid tumors, viral infections, and autoimmune diseases. Her research emphasizes the complexity and interplay of immune mechanisms in human disease, aiming to uncover pathways that may inform new therapeutic strategies.
