Jordan Orange
Jordan Orange, MD, PhD, is a world-renowned scientist and pediatrician with a deep research interest in immunological function. His mechanistic studies have given insight into immunological diseases as well as basic immunobiology giving rise the potential to harness immunity for therapeutic application.
Dr. Orange's work in experimental immunology led to the development of novel technologies to improve cellular therapies for solid tumors. His translational research helped define a category of immunodeficiencies, natural killer cell deficiency (NKD). His basic science work is focused on NK cells--part of the innate immune system that kills diseased cells through the secretion of specialized organelles containing toxic proteins--and their cell biological machinery, harmonizing his scientific and clinical interests.
