Sarah Robertson
Sarah Robertson is a Professor of Reproductive Immunology and NHMRC Investigator Fellow at the Robinson Research Institute, University of Adelaide. Her research focusses on the immunobiological determinants of successful conception and embryo implantation, in order to understand the mechanisms of female immune tolerance of pregnancy and yield new approaches to treatment and prevention of infertility and pregnancy disorders. Her work shows that an integrated innate and adaptive immune response at conception channels hormonal, environmental and genetic signals from both female and male parents to generate tolerance to paternally-inherited conceptus alloantigens, to promote fertility and reproductive success, and to shape offspring phenotype and child health. She is an elected Fellow of The Australian Academy of Science, a Fellow of the Australian Academy for Health and Medical Sciences, a Distinguished Fellow of the Society for Reproductive Investigation (US), and a Fellow of the Society for the Reproductive Biology (Australia)”.
