Welcome to NK2026
The NK2026 meeting will take place in Monopoli, a gem in the heart of Puglia, Italy, by the Adriatic Sea, on 22-25 September 2026. This regular gathering of the SNI community is the opportunity to share the latest work and ideas, foster collaborations, and strengthen scientific bonds. We will blend tradition and innovation in our fast-evolving and exciting field and listen to both junior and most senior colleagues. On 21 September we will host the satellite meeting “Reproductive Health” and the first edition of “BraiNKstorming”, with junior SNI members discussing burning questions and big themes in NK cell research.
Monopoli (from the Greek words mono and polis meaning “unique town”) was founded by the Greeks upon the fusion of two Messapian villages. The city was later taken over by the Romans and ruled by various dominations, including the Byzantines, Longobards, Normans, Swabians, Venetian, French, Spanish, Austrians and finally French again, before being annexed to the Kingdom of Italy in 1848.
Monopoli has the typical southern Italian vibe with its whitewashed houses in the old town, a stunning medieval Cathedral, a fortified Castle, its authentic food and wonderful rocky and sandy beaches. In Monopoli life slows down, you experience the typical Mediterranean hospitality and inevitably feel inspired to muse and converse with friends. We will do plenty of that at NK2026.
Both Domenico e Francesco grew up in Monopoli and warmly welcome you all to NK2026 to share our passion for NK cell research, interact with the community and dive in the magic culture, art, food and music of Puglia.
We’re thrilled to announce that the 22ⁿᵈ Meeting of the Society for Natural Immunity (NK2026), will take place in Monopoli, Italy 22-25 September 2026.
